About me

Author Christopher T. Greenleif

As a lover of fantasy stories, I started writing at the age of twelve. My work can sometimes be grim, reflecting my long-standing love for all things morbid and macabre! I dedicate my time to raising my daughter and playing tabletop role-playing games.

I also love walking through the forest and writing short stories set in my world of Eracia. I draw inspiration from my wife, daughter, and cat, along with our shared passion for horror and fiction.

Myrewater is not my first project and certainly will not be my last, but it has helped to ignite my passion for creative writing and deepen my love for the world of Eracia as I continue to develop it.

Almost all of my stories feature a common theme that I am deeply engaged with, as new and old narratives intertwine in my world and writings.

This is not like anything else I have written. The story is dark and menacing. As such, there are moments when the lines between morality and the protagonists' inner thoughts are askew, and their thoughts are quite blurred. It was written to give us a detailed look not only at their actions but also at their warped minds.

Bearing this in mind, there are two means of expressing the tale… as a fantasy epic and as memories directly from the minds of the “heroes.” It was written to show the perspective stories of horrible people and could also be taken as a lesson on the nature of evil. This is not the tale of a triumphant hero or underdog type who overcame… this is a tragedy. The sad life stories of complete madmen who already were or became monsters and a glimpse into their inner thoughts. I caution you… you may find the ideals of the main characters disturbing and if you can make your way through the tale without getting uncomfortable, I commend you.

It’s a grim read… yes. But it’s meant to be relatable, after all. Not solely to sociopaths and the insane but to a wide spectrum of sane, normal people who wish to see what it might be like to read fantasy from a twisted side.
